Reviews

While I found Eric Wilder's writing style to be very realistic and easily read it is clear the book has been written from the male perspective, which isn't a bad thing.
I wasn't sure what I expected from this book but I found a good plot with intriguing characters and situations.
As a reader from Australia I found Wilder's descriptions of the land combined with the history of the land truly interesting and definitely makes me want to visit.
The supernatural element was enough that it didn't overwhelm the book or detract from the main story.
Buck clearly has quite a few notches on his bedpost and the detail in which these are mentioned may be inappropriate for younger readers.
All in all I found this a good read with an interesting ending.
