Divorce can be extremely traumatic to families.  My children's picture book takes us through a myriad of emotions that two children, Stephen and Alex experience through this tumultuous period.

Reviews

I found this to be a fantastic book to help any child living with separated and/or divorced parents.

The rhyming of the words takes away from the sadness of the book and allows kids to understand it without feeling worse.
As a separated parent myself I gave this book to my children to read and they finished the book with smiles on their faces.
The only flaw I forsee is the last page where the young boys think their parents may get back together. I would worry this may give some young children false hope.
All in all I thought this book would sit well on the shelf of a youth counsellor who saw this a lot.

Living with mom, and spending time with dad has a great plot concept and the actually message behind the book is to be understood, but I do not believe that the wording in the book is age appropriate for the younger readers who would be most likely to relate to this book.  If it would be a little less grown up, and a little more kid friendly written then I would give it my full support,  just not for a younger reader.
