This book is about 1) identifying the things in our lives that are holding us back, 2) changing those behaviors, 3) learning just how limitless our ability to improve our life is, 4) setting the right goals, and 5) achieving the goals we set.
The book is divided into two parts. In Part 1 we attack the root of the problem, a lack of energy and motivation. We help the reader to identify those things in our life that are draining our energy and show the way to correct them. We discuss getting entangled in bad relationships, having a poor diet, continuously focusing on negative feelings and so on. We discuss coming to the realization that these things in our lives are there because subconsciously we allowed them to be there, either directly or as a consequence of some other action we took or did not take.
Our sadness, for example, does not need to take over our lives. We acknowledge our sadness, give ourselves permission to feel sad and perhaps meditate to release the feeling and resolve to do something to correct the issue, or somehow minimize its impact on us so that we do not continue to feel sad. We forgive ourselves for what we did wrong and move on. It is by correcting those things that are draining our energy that we gain energy to make the changes in our lives we truly desire.
Part 2 of the book discusses just how limitless our ability is to create positive changes in our lives, convincing ourselves of this fact, and implementing the strategies in our daily lives. By using this new-found energy, accompanied by believing in one's self, we are able to bring about those desired changes. We then apply this energy and conviction to a real-life example to demonstrate how incredibly powerful and versatile these techniques are.
In conclusion, this book was written with the intent of being a comprehensive resource for anyone interested in bringing about positive and real changes in his/her life. I hope you find it to be as inspirational to read as I found it to write.
Abundance and the Secret law of Attraction by David William Lowell
I received this book for free from http://reviewthebook.com/ for my review. David Lowell grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island, USA and acquired two degrees one in Civil Engineering and German. He is married to Pamela David’s message is to stay positive 24/7 and in his book he teaches more than just the law of attraction but how to stay positive in difficult situations we deal with every single day with examples.
“The ego is I in his book and True Self is separate from the mind and body, which is the principle behind life, action, feeling and thought.”
It is important to know how our ego works in everyday life vs. the true self. What I love best is his example of learning how to do everything out of gratitude and in serving others so our ego doesn’t get in our way. He also shows us how to smile “all the time” even if you are in a bad mood, because it turns the negativity into positive energy and changes the mood around us.
The real life examples can help anyone take a bad attitude and turn it into positive. For example, in dealing with others who are just down and out we need to send love to them. Just changing our karma to good will help the other person change around you or flee elsewhere. I know from experience that it works.
This book is not the same old “law of attraction” of ask, believe, receive and faith. It is much more in depth and helps the skeptics feel better about themselves and the world around them.
