Ewart, PhD, DD, Metropolitan Archbishop, Holy Catholic Church International

The Whole Youth Worker: Advice on Professional, Personal, and Physical Wellness from the Trenches, 2nd Ed. Is a good book to have if you are a youth pastor or working with youth in any capacity in a church setting. The book will give you sound day to day advice about being involved in the youth ministry. I would equate this book to a Youth Ministry for dummies or a training type of book. I plan to use this book as required reading for my youth pastor and or anyone involved in the youth ministry as a youth ministry handbook within my church. This is an easy-to-read textbook on youth ministry by a proven professional with years of experience.

This book lays out the foundation of what a day in the life of a youth minister will look like. The author also give good advice on how to avoid bad situations that will happen as a youth minister. Jay Tucker speaks from years of experience and his advice is sound and informative. This book is a must for all beginning youth ministries from the youth pastor to an volunteer that may help out within the ministry, especially if you were thrown into it out of another profession.
