As an avid reader I have had the opportunity to read some of the best and some of the worst in all of the writing genres. However, comedy has always held a special place in my heart, there is nothing like the feeling of release experienced when one is laughing at something that is genuinely humorous.

It has been my pleasure to read yet another addition to the humor genre and that is the e-book, An Ant in the Toilet written by William M. Rea with illustrations by Christine Flores. This book is literally toilet humor but it is toilet humor of a different vein, this book employs the use of humor to examine life. This e-book is a humorous look at life through the eyes of an ant. What this ant experiences we all have experienced at one time or another in our lives, looking for a home, looking for certain comforts in life, settling for what life initially offers us and then finally through a twist of fate finding the place that we have really wanted or needed to be in all along.

Although this book is quite short, it is succinct in getting the point across- no matter what travails we go through in life eventually we will be led to that place of happiness that we seek. I would highly recommend this quickie read to anyone who needs a quick and humorous pick me up, after all we do need to look on the brighter side of things sometimes and people should learn to be more grateful - at least you are not an ant in the toilet.
